Meet me at the lake - 2026

Meet Me at the Lake is a photographic series exploring my partner’s queer identity and how it has been influenced while coming of age in the midwest. While photographing between Chicago and their hometown, Milwaukee over 15 weeks— this series has evolved into an exploration of my own perception of them and an admiration for the places that meant the most during their formative moments. In my eyes, Belle creates a bridge between masculinity and softness. Where there is strength, there is also vulnerability. Gentle guitar and bergamot notes swirl together under the last light in Arrigo, carried by the wind all the way to where the lake meets the shore.
